we feature dust because zach goes out and meets people instead of buying their attention, and he can tell you exactly where he learned to work that way. a van, a cooler and one good idea for the night is a small budget. the people who come back for the next drop are what it buys, and the gear is good enough to keep them coming back. we’re excited to be part of that group of early customers, rounding up new folks to share how important one key layer can be to keep that adventure feeling alive.

the product is where dust’s seriousness shows. zach’s rule is the same as for events: one layer of something different on each piece, built on top of apparel that has to perform first. he is upfront that the half tights are the closest dust comes to what is already out there, and that the waistband is where he spent his effort. the one layer of different has stood out to the syndicate team in the samples we tested. one of us has run a 20 miler in them, a lot of it under six minute pace. the pockets held several gels without bouncing and the hem stayed put. another of us has been told at home to wear the cotton popover on every work call.
